SEAT and CUPRA UK is today announcing the appointment of Marcus Gossen as its new Director. He will start in the role on 1 September 2023.
Gossen has over 23 years’ experience within the automotive industry and first joined SEAT S.A. in July 2020. He has worked across a variety of disciplines, including the role of Managing Director for MAN Truck & Bus in several locations worldwide. His current role as Head of Sales, CUPRA & SEAT, Europe South and West has overseen UK performance.
He succeeds Richard Harrison in the SEAT and CUPRA UK Director role. Harrison will take a career break after 16 years with the brand which has seen SEAT sales peak at 3% market share in 2019 and CUPRA establish itself as the fastest-growing automotive brand in the UK.
“Both SEAT and CUPRA have seen massive change in recent years. The success is clear for all to see, particularly CUPRA’s exponential growth,” Gossen said. “I am really looking forward to working even closer with the UK team as we accelerate that dramatic change further. It is an incredibly exciting time to lead these two brands.”
