June 2023 will mark the debut of Masters of Motoring, a new premium motoring lifestyle event from Great British Motor Shows. The new show, which is very aptly to be staged on Father’s Day – June 18th – should prove to be a great addition to early summer motoring/collectors shows as well as to next year’s social events calendar, both in the UK and internationally. Masters of Motoring will be a combination of high-level classic and performance car displays, married with a carefully selected mix of leisure and lifestyle luxury retail opportunities, excellent food, drink and hospitality – all set against the beautiful backdrop of the Lansdowne family home at Bowood House & Gardens, in Wiltshire.
“I am extremely excited – and proud – to announce the inaugural Masters of Motoring,” explains Great British Motor Shows’ MD Steve Bishop. “This has been something that has been in planning for some time. We now have the right venue partners with Bowood House and, I believe, a great event format with new displays and select partners who will help to create an exciting and memorable experience for owner and visitor alike.”
Masters of Motoring will host a VIP zone that will boast supercar and hypercar displays, together with its own hospitality area. This will sit alongside another major display area on the main front lawns of Bowood House that will showcase vehicles drawn from supercar owners clubs from around the UK.
With a further area dedicated to individual owners of classic and performance vehicles, the event will therefore bring together, and celebrate, the Masters of Motoring from across the ages.
“Masters of Motoring is all about finding that common ground between exhibitor and customer,” continues Steve Bishop. “The show aims to embrace the car club alongside the private collections – allowing owners to show off their pride and joy across a broad spectrum of motoring, in the best way, surrounded by exciting elements and in a fabulous environment.”
For the inaugural Masters of Motoring, the main theme celebrates legendary car designer Marcello Gandini, the man behind – amongst other greats – Lamborghini’s Miura and Countach. The event will also pay homage to the 60th anniversary of another motoring master, the Porsche 911, with some fantastic ‘never-before-seen’ displays.
Visitors to The Masters of Motoring will also be able to browse, at leisure, though a deliberately-limited selection of premium retail partners, who will offer products and services ranging from watches and jewellery, through art and designer goods to luxury lifestyle and motoring service providers.
“We are delighted to be welcoming the inaugural ‘Masters of Motoring’ to the Bowood Estate on Sunday 18th June” enthuses Sarah Forwood, Events Manager of the Bowood Estate. “Masters of Motoring will showcase beautiful classic cars and supercars within Bowood’s stunning grounds. This new and exciting show on Fathers’ Day will be a wonderful addition to our 2023 events line up.”
Applications are now open on the website – www.mastersofmotoring.com – for clubs, collectors and owners to express their interest in being a part of motoring event history with their participation in this first Masters of Motoring event.
